Micro Ear Suction:

Microsuction is the modern, advanced, safe, and pain-free form of ear wax removal. Miscrocustion is carried out with a high-grade surgical microscope to illuminate the ear and magnify the canal and ear drum. This is performed safely and effectively with a low pressure suction device.

Using sterile, single-use-only equipment, the procedure is also completely safe and carries no risk of infection. It doesn't take very long either – around 10 minutes per ear. Foreign body removal can also be carried out using the micro suction technique.

If untreated, earwax build-up can lead to:

• Itchy ears

• Tinnitus

• Discomfort, or earache

• Hearing loss

• Infections

It is a safe treatment for hearing aid users and can help prevent damage to a hearing aid caused by excessive cleaning due to earwax build-up. It can also prevent discomfort caused by a poor fitting hearing aid caused by too much ear wax.

Two week pre treatment: it is advised to use an olive oil spray. Our practitioners recommend Earol spray for ease of treatment during the treatment. Pre and post treatment images can be taken if required. As prescribing nurse practitioners, we are able to offer treatment if any infections or and abnormalities are noted after the ear canals have been cleared.
